very sleepy now but shall make a valiant attempt at posting an entry... since xm claims tt i nv update!! so...
went back to hc wif her n pao today... or actually, pao and i ACCOMPANIED her to go back cos she needed to get burge to do some referrals... hmm. on the one hand we felt sooooo old cos of all the unfamiliar faces ard us, but then it didn't really feel as if we had left the school for that long?? for one, the weird school-bell tune was still the same. kinda ironic rite.
anw.. first we met perry in the canteen... who made small talk wif us for like 5 min. nothing much, except for some interesting nuggets of information: e.g. white is teaching mainstream geog too cos e 2 mainstream tutors left, and 18% of americans hold passports (trust him to say tt). and xm-ever-the-cynic insists tt perry can't remember our names (except for pao-the-pres-scholar heh)
then of coz we went to the humanz staffrm, and only miles was there. persuaded him (with not too much difficulty) that xm has become a wild party animal. hahaha. somemore he was in his usual witty/funny mode, making remarks abt her "liquid diet" and as always spilling the beans abt our tutors. so funny, he was telling us tt barnard types his name into google to search and it always leads to students' blogs!! hmm why am i not surprised.
next pao insisted on going to look for white, and i realized tt his york accent is not tt hard to understand after all!! actually got most of what he was saying... only got lost when he launched into a description of his US trip and all the national parks tt he visited... heh guess having a german lecturer for IR does help after all.
by then we were too late for esther's law lecture, so pao made the obligatory visit to mr siau (spelling?!) who gave us even more gossip abt our juniors. i.e. who is going where. haiyah. they all qing chu yu lan leh, in terms of looks *hmph i bet wz/a think so* and now unis!! oh man. hahaha
anw it was not tt bad tt we missed esther's lecture, cos we ended up going to black canyon for lunch.... FINALLY!!! haf been wanting to go back there for so long liao.... hehe. visited her dorm at nus. v jealous cos everything is nice and new (kent ridge is the newest), but e only consolation i get is tt her room is smaller!!! yes! SMALLER than my dickson room. quite impossible but there u go.
hmm...oh no im losing steam liao... this narrative thing is not my cup of tea lor. oh well. then went for ice-skating wif the cornell pple... n went to geylang for some dim sum thingy. so qiao the place was nx to where we had our beef kway teow last time!!! yup the one where we bought our horrible gingerish dou hua. the food today was pretty good tho.
finally... met jason to get summer scent pt 1 from him. to think tt he scoffed at me and qiu tian last time!! omg. i tell u he has become some kdrama convert lor. quote: "i've been working hard on part 2", "well there are 12 discs.. so will probably take u abt 2 days". wat is the world coming to!!!! hahaha is henry going to be watching liu xing next???
