cooking is so tiring, but nothing beats the satisfaction of sitting down afterwards and enjoying the fruits of your labor! too bad time spent eating is like one-sixth of time in the kitchen...
anw... heh for all the hype about taegukgi i've heard, i must say that the show fell a little short of my expectations... there were too many fighting scenes for my taste! maybe it's the quality of the dvd (but I luv you anw xinying) cos it got so dark at some points that i couldn't even tell what was going on and who was the one fighting!! would have liked more development of their characters lor...and tis a pity tt wb's face was smeared with grime and blood half the time! haha. But the show did have its really poignant moments...got me thinking about people and wars too...realized that i've studied so many wars/ revolutions in history but nv really fully appreciated the real impact on the man-on-the-street? anyhow i must watch it when it hits the cinemas... hopefully at great world gv! dunno if the one I got was imax, but the screen there seemed really HUGE...
well I may be biased, but to me Korean/Japanese shows are so much more engaging than local ones... somehow, there is a sort of subtlety in the dialogue tt's really different... people say so little but mean so much more... (then again it could also be due to poor dubbing which leaves me trying to decipher what the characters really mean!). of course, in the end, barring a sudden bout of illness or accident, everything is set on its right path... i doubt things happen this way in real life though. restraint/ reticence might be a self-defensive mechanism, but it also leaves a lot to second-guessing and interpretation - and thus risk of error... after a while it simply becomes very tiring too, no?

found out a very good way to deal with my boredom... meddle with blogskins!! haha. shall settle with this for now... hm sigh think i've been rather temperamental lately... dun feel like doing anything serious too!! v guilty cos i should actually help to do more in the house... like cooking and cleaning... but then i just feel so lethargic nowadays... can't even get myself interested to read a proper book... 8 days and LIFE is just about the limit tt my lazy brain can absorb... n everything looks BLEAK for no rhyme or reason!! arghz. doesn't help that my internet is very cranky too... keeps disconnecting halfway... would rather not have this wireless thing but my dad keeps saying tt the wires look very messy! anw i guess it's good tt at his age he still can find energy to 'play' with all this.... haha his latest interest is trying to create some network between our home computer and the office... unfortunately i'm so slack in comparison... hmm really must da qi jing shen... meanwhile i shall console myself with the fact tt wb is coming to singapore on 12 july! *cross fingers*
