The stranger sang a theme
From someone else's dream
The leaves began to fall
And no one spoke at all
But I can't seem to recall
When you came along

abt 12 more hours to go. don't really feel like blogging but i feel compelled to make one last entry in singapore before i leave... well, the past 3 months have been... i dunno, i can't summarize it in one word! i'd say it covers an entire spectrum of adjectives... heh.
i swung from one end of reigning supreme in slackerdom to the other end of feeling as if 24 hours a day is not enough. esp when you start work, you realize that you practically have no time/energy left for anything else. shopping wise, i started off hitting the stores feverishly (hk was the peak!) but after a while reached saturation level, to the point when i actually sat down at raffles city doing nothing for 30 min when i had to wait for a friend who was late - i was too sick of going into shops. haha. unfortunately, i think my interest has started rising recently, only cos i’m going back into little ol’ ithaca...
which brings to mind, the most common question posed to me nowadays is "so how, do you look forward to going back?" i always answer "yes" because it's so much easier to explain this way, but deep down, i think my feelings are mixed. i can justify why i like life there, but i can also think of quite a few reasons as to why I might not... but guess i should go with an open mind lah, since this sem's prob going to be way different...staying off campus with all its perks (and drawbacks)... think i'll miss dorm life tho, strangely enough, considering how it was almost non-existent... haha ok kidding. but long dinners, sunday brunches, late night conversations and birthday celebrations all hold special memories and i guess they'll never really be the same again...
as i always like to say, everything boils down to a matter of perception. i'm often shocked at how it's really the case of "you see what you want to see" in life. but then how to avoid this? it's so difficult to be objective sometimes, simply cos our own desires/emotions take over and then... we end up having skewed judgments, or we cling on to the hope that things are the way we want them to be.
ok, guess i've said enough... sometimes wonder why i even bother to write a blog in the first place, when i don't intend to reveal anything much. is it just to satisfy some innate narcissistic desire? to grab people's attention for a few moments? to gain the pleasure of seeing a piece of my writing published on the world wide web? or hopefully, so tt when i read my previous entries in future i can see tt i've come a long way since... =)
