so... Day 1 of my resolution to stop reading (unnecessary) blogs and i'm writing one myself! haha. had this grand plan about how each time i wanted to click on a blog i'd read something like ST or economist instead (or even a tabloid like US weekly) but guess what happened... sigh. maybe i shall just resign myself to being a blog voyeur and start contributing something too! hehe.
but then again, i've never really been into this tell-all-about-my-life thing thing. somehow i have this morbid fear about broadcasting "stuff that has been happening" for the world to read! i dunno, it just seems a bit too... intrusive? too in-your-face... hate to admit this but yes there's this nagging feeling of resentment in me whenever i read about people's happening lives (not that i am complaining about mine now... how could i possibly? =p), esp when they gush about the latest things they've done, etc etc etc. it's so much easier to empathize with one's misery than one's bliss, no?
so yes, what CAN i write about... how about this: "the problem of free-ridership and positive externalities"?? can someone provide a rational explanation of how it is that something which does me little/no disservice can be so irritating?? if i was going to do something already anyway, why does it irk me still?? the fact that i could have been the one NOT doing it?? yet this is such an illogical reason still rite... and i AM an econs major after all. all this talk about indifference curves and marginal utility and what not! bleah. just need to learn to be less jjjj OR i could just erm... voice my displeasure? (but that will be the day ha)
there you go then... the start of prelim season always makes me more restless than usual whenever im sitting down at the table... and i end up writing strange stuff. wish me luck in my quest for REAL news rather than gossip! =p
